Schioppettino from Sant’Elena

This wine takes its name from the historic vineyard located in Albana di Prepotto, under the church of S. Elena near the river Judrio, and comes from a single vineyard parcel. The soil is of alluvial origin, with an important presence of sand mixed with marl and sandstone which allow the wine to express an original character. The history of the vintages allows us to record a remarkable aromatic depth, in which the spicy balsamic character prevails over the fruit forwardness - a markedness that distinguishes a limited part of the variegated wine-growing district of the Municipality of Prepotto.
